The big Q: When's the bloody thing going back together???
A: In progress
Loads of new photos due shortly...
Gearbox and transfer box on the move
Now for the engine block
Engine out
Not planning to do anything to engine so just set aside
That's where it was
It is possible with a good crane to lift the engine, gearbox and transfer box as one lump.
However, this Landy's clutch did shudder a bit starting out, so as we'll be replacing the clutch plate, its easier to split the gearbox and transfer box from the engine and heave them out in two lumps.
Once the engine's back in the new galvanised chassis then the clutch can be sorted before offering up the gearbox.
